The MW-FEM microwave module is an industry-first combination of a processor-based controller with all-digital microwave signal generation. With its advanced direct digital synthesis (DDS) technology MW-FEM generates precise microwave signals up to 10.5 GHz, directly from digital waveforms, eliminating the need for complex calibration processes and offering unmatched flexibility. The exceptional analog frontend features ultra-low phase noise, and excellent spectral purity (SFDR). Its unique architecture allows scaling the number of channels while keeping exceptional phase synchronization between all channels. The onboard Pulse Processing Unit (PPU), implemented on a powerful UltraScale+ FPGA, provides classical processing with unmatched agility and flexibility to run advanced quantum algorithms, with the best efficiency.
Low-Frequency Module
The LF-FEM low-frequency module is a combination of a powerful processor-based controller with a high-performance low-frequency frontend. The processor, QM’s Pulse Processing Unit (PPU), is implemented on a powerful UltraScale+ FPGA. It is the most agile and flexible processor, developed especially for quantum control. PPU allows running complex quantum programs at any scale with the best results and fastest runtime. Extra effort was made to ensure LF-FEM has the lowest possible jitter and noise.
